TKAM Home Learning Assignment

Intrapersonal
1)Who would you want to be friends with in the novel? Explain

I would like to make friends with Boo Radley. My heart reaches out to him because he is misunderstood and discriminated against in Maycomb county. I sympathise with Boo as he has no kin or kith other than his uncle, Nathan, who truely understands him.

Even Boo is a white, he is still discriminated against. He was pictured as a evil person with a violent tendency. He was said to have brutally murdered his parents. Thus, everybody was afraid of him and did not befriend him. This put Boo in a spot. Despite wanting to make new friends, he still had to coup himself up in the house all day long because he was afraid that he would be hurt by other people's crude remarks. If he could make friends, he would be less of a loner and would not be labelled as a serial killer.

I believe that Boo was just a victim of the discrimination of Maycomb, and that he is actually a good person. At the end of the novel, Boo actually saves Jem and Scout from Bob Ewell. This proves that he is actually a good person, but he lacks the chance to prove so only. I am also sure that Boo would make a good friend. Even when he became a game for the children to play with, he still doesn't complain. This goes to show that he is an understanding person, and would most probably make a good friend.

In conclusion, I would like to make friends with Boo as he is actually a nice person and I would like him to lead a more enjoyable and cheerful life
